Formed in 1988, Workies Redbacks are the largest club in the Lithgow District Football Association. Providing teams from U6 to U14 in the Lithgow Competition and U15/16s in the Bathurst District Football Competition.

Redbacks have a 2 Star Club Changer rating through the Football Australia Club Changer accreditation system and are also a proud Gold Medal accredited club with the Good Sports program.
